Meet Jessie Lowes, an artist hailing from Cumbria. Her creative journey began as early as she can remember, and she has always been passionate about creating art, even during her school years. She pursued this further by studying Art in college before enrolling at the University of Cumbria for a three-year degree program in Conceptual Art, followed by a one-year residency.

Jessie believes that creating art is not just a hobby or a profession; it’s an essential element for our overall well-being and mental health. She wants to share her passion for art with others and help them explore their creativity to improve their mental health.

Nature is her biggest inspiration, and she finds beauty in everything, from animals, plants, insects to landscapes. She combines her love for nature with her passion for storytelling, folklore, fairy tales, and literature, making her work unique and mesmerising. Magic and spooky things are also visible in her artwork!

Jessie works with various mediums, including painting in oil, gouache, and watercolour. She uses charcoal, colour pencils, and graphite pencil for sketching and drawing and enjoys sculpting with clay and other materials. She also has interests in other crafts such as textiles, nature crafts, and writing poetry and lyrics.

Currently, Jessie is focusing on building her business, where she sells prints and originals of her artwork and takes commissions for portraits for both animals and people. She is determined to continue building her portfolio and business while also helping others on their art journey…
